WHS College Tutors
Aside from being a full-time student at Cal Poly Pomona, I am privileged to be given the opportunity to work at Westminster High School as a college tutor. I became apart of the team (of 26 tutors) starting Fall 2015 as a math college tutor.
How it works.
Our tutoring program is offered to the students of WHS at no cost! We offer a classroom-like learning environment where every student are welcome to attend. We also provide resources which include equipment like computers, textbooks, printing and more.
What I do.
We work as a team in each department varies based on subjects. For me, I work in the mathematics department/room along side 2 or 3 other college tutors. For the most part we supervise the classroom to ensure top learning experience. When needed we do our best to lecture, review, explain, and/or reinforce the learning materials. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that the student who needed help will leave our program with a better understanding of what they needed help with.
